The Department of Computer Science at KNSIT prepares the students for professional employment and progressive careers as Computer Engineers, and provides the fundamental knowledge needed for long term professional growth and active life time learning of new developments in the field.
This will be achieved through following: state of art infrastructure, constant knowledge up-gradation of faculty, quality policies, and value addition skills.
The academic activities of the Department lays emphasis on deep understanding of fundamental concepts, development of creative ability to handle the challenges of CS Engineering, and the analytical ability to solve problems which are interdisciplinary in nature.

Eligibility

Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects..

Duration

4 years split into 8 semesters.

Mode of Assessment

Weight age for the various components of the Continuous Internal Assessments and an external examinations solely conducted by the university.

  • Provide solutions for computational engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate societal and environmental considerations.
  • Evolve solutions to complex computing problems through investigations, research and analysis, using sound methodologies and processes.
  • Select and apply appropriate development model, resources, analytics-based learning and current cutting edge tools and technologies to complex computing systems.
